Alexandra Clarfield Ph.D.
As a clinical psychologist for more than 20 years, Alexandra Clarfield brings substantial and diverse skills and expertise to her work. She also encompasses experiences from her own life journey that include a deep sense of adventure, love of nature and commitment to social service. Among her professional skills, Alexandra has trained in cutting edge treatments for trauma such as EMDR, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Play Therapy and mindfulness based approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Hakomi.
Dr. Clarfield’s patients come from all walks of life with diverse goals for treatment and for their lives. She has worked in schools, hospitals for children, on Indian Reservations, and on a US Army Base overseas. She has worked with aging veterans in their homes.
